I think everyone in the arms business knows that arms manufacturers have to remove certain things from export versions. But with Trump at the helm, I think nations should think twice before buying weapons from the US. You don't know if they are going to add "features" that prevent the weapons from working against US assets.

There are discussions happening right now. Our incoming new government, our defence secretary Pistorius and the Bundeswehr will very likely decide against purchasing the F35s.

I wonder if that kind of talk can serve as another reason to cancel the F35 orders.
Germany, Finland and others should follow Portugal and Canada in that respect.
@hanse_mina this should help Canada and other countries get out of deals with weapons providers and war planes, because the head and the leader of their country has admitted that they will not sell the same product internationally that they sell at home and that would have been left out of their contract and agreement therefore null and voiding the agreement...
