Are there any #CAD modeling tools other than #SketchUp, #freeCAD or #openSCAD that you would recommend (that run on Linux)?

I "need" to model the layout of my future workshop and I'm not entirely sure what the best tool would be (I suck with anything other than #KiCAD ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜)

@spacekookie what about solvespace?

would that fit you in any regard?

@hirojin I've never used it but it seemed similar to openscad? Which I haven't been using that much either, it seems okay but I'm worried that more complex models will just confuse me :P

I actually quite liked FreeCAD but I failed to find tutorials and documentation on a workflow outside of "a simple part", like...putting miltiple parts together to make something bigger that fits together, etc :P

@spacekookie running make, as i type this

@spacekookie built solvespace from a git clone, since the newest stuff isn't released yet

@hirojin Aaaaaaah! Sorry, I'm tired and couldn't connect "solverspace" and "typing make" XD

I guess I could give it a try
