I think I'm going to follow @thewriternextdoor's lead and mozy on over to wandering.shop to take some of the strain off .social.

GOOD NEWS! Email sent about account migration: "This is currently the highest priority enhancement for us as a project. We hope to have at least partial fixes for this emerge soon, things that address some of these concerns, while we work to build full migrations into the system. It's a long task, with lots of moving parts, and we want to be sure we're going to get it right."

Folks who're annoyed about the inability to move to another instance without being able to take your followers with you:

"Account migration" has been a feature request on the Github issue list for quite a long time. github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/

It is a BIG job, but it is on the list and the devs are aware of it. It could take a long time.

Clicking through to the issue on Github and clicking "thumbs-up" and leaving a comment about your suboptimal new-user experience is really helpful.

Working on this whole "making a glass sliding door" thing. It's...an undertaking. :|

And by "just won't do" I mean "are literally starting to fall apart only a couple days in."

Shopping for enclosure improvement stuff. The doors I'm using just won't do, and I need to add more grip to the surfaces. :|

So if you like Mastodon, Gargron (the guy who created /is paying to develop it) has a Patreon: patreon.com/mastodon

Trying out tootdon for a mobile app for this. Liking it so far!

Also the doors aren't able to handle the humidity very well, which sucks. I'm going to look into sliding doors for the enclosure.

Okay, wasn't expecting lizard care this morning to take an hour. I gotta get a better bead on the humidity for this thing.

I now get to clean up excrement, which is a very accurate summary of about 30% of reptile keeping.

Good news: The iguana pooped.
Bad news: She did it just on her floor. In the middle of a condensation puddle. So close, iguana, and yet so far.

@andrhia Hi! Good to see you over here.
