I live on a crowded main road within hearing distance of 2 junctions. I have never seen the view outside my window look the way it does.
This has the first week of my life, I have been able to hear birds (not just pigeons complaining but sparrows, mynahs chirping/cooing) at 5am as well as at 2.30pm.
I wondered whether this feels like a ghost town but no, it doesn't. I can hear doors shutting, grinders blending, TVs running in flats at a distance.
The closest comparison I can make is Mumbai looks the way I remember Vasant Kunj, Delhi looking in the 90s. Signs of life inside homes but roads deserted.
When Mumbai metro began is when I realised how much greenery there is across Andheri because I was riding above the foliage. Today I'm seeing how green things are even around my place when it's not infested with road rage & honking hooligans.
