The Replay Foundation, my employer, announced their liquidation today. This means no more Pinburgh. It also means I'm Officially out of a job for the forseeable, so if y'all wouldn't mind boosting a link to my other source of income Improbable Island, that'd be just super.
It's a silly online game and it doesn't pay as much as fixing pinball machines but heck it's what I've got right now, and this winter's probably gonna be a hairy one.
@ifixcoinops Oof, sorry man. We've never met afaik but I enjoyed going to ReplayFX when I lived in Pittsburgh, and have enjoyed following along your adventures in Pinball restoration.
Best of luck figuring things out, and I'll take a look at improbableisland!
Disclaimer - most of the people there when I was there have similarly wandered off by now, but afaik it's still the same kind of community as before.
@ifixcoinops Jeez, I'm sorry. I was looking forward to seeing you at a future Pinburgh and trying to have a less-awkward encounter.
Hoping for good news for you (and the other Replay folks) soon.
@Austin_Dern Heheh, it's never gonna be not-awkward meeting me at RFX, I run on 4 hours' sleep a night the whole week of the event, I'm basically only capable of grunting and shocking myself. :P
Heck I dunno, maybe I'll open an arcade one day. :)
