I hate that I walk into gay bars and nothing ever happens. I’m so invisible.

All I really want is a bunch of close friends and a boyfriend, but social anxiety fucks that up

I like that you have the local and federated time lines from the getgo here, since the reason it took me so long to get into Twitter was the lack of good people. Not so much here.

That said, I would still need to find my niche here, whereas I already have it on Twitter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Went to my local #MarchForOurLives today. Good to see the huge crowds. The US needs to address this now!

So, before I get settled, does it really make a difference which instance your account is based in? Like, would I get more out of the general Mastodon experience outside of mastodon.local in a different one? Do people jump ship between instances often?

Also, I have an iPhone and am using Tootdon. Does anyone have a preference for other apps?
