@isagalaev I'm intrigued by the depiction of full-employment by James Livingston as being a bad Idea. I know that my own father experienced this as a young man in the UK building trade and found it extremely empowering. If the boss treated you badly or didn't pay well - down tools and off to the next building site.
@StuC but modern businesses learned to deal with it pretty efficiently: there are only a few building developers owning everything and the conditions are pretty much the same everywhere. Sure, capitalism works when there's competition, but it's an increasingly rare situation on "free" markets.
