Almost forgot… On a recent interview I had to enlighten my interviewer that you don't need JavaScript to generate a POST request from a browser. Just a form with a submit button would do.

Admittedly, the interviewer was a deep backend developer, but still… I thought those things were really common knowledge.

@danschnau I don't think it was the reason. The guy was in his 40s-50s judging by the look, so most probably he spent most of his career in the innards of database engines and didn't care about the frontend part much.
