My defunct gmail address turned into a honeypot for clueless recruiters (of the "I'm impressed with your profile" variety). I never give it as my contact, but somehow it found its way into their spam lists, so now when I get mail that was sent to gmail.com instead of my actual email, I know for sure not to pay attention.

Please remember: functional cookies (login session, shopping carts) do not need user consent. So every time you see one of this oversized cookie banners someone is trying (often through dark patterns) to make you accept the whole tracking and spying as well. Don't be mad at the legislative for creating the need for tracking consent. Be mad at the websites that are trying to stir you up against that law by annoying you with those banners.

I wish people stop comparing nebulous "net worth" of rich people directly to salaries of regular people. Like, "what average Amazon storage worker makes in a year Jeff Bezos makes in some seconds". He doesn't "make" anything. Estimated wealth is different from money in the pocket in that he can't actually go and spend it at will.
Those guys are still super-rich, sure. But the comparison is just disingenuous.
Okay, it seems to work. Looks ugly but I don't really care :-)
Since nobody's going to ask I'll say anyway: the point of the exercise is to possibly FOMO out some of my old followers from Twitter onto the modern network.

After 15+ years of professional Python work I published my first #Python package on PyPI today. Something small that I extracted from my pastebin project. Poetry made it a snap to publish. https://pypi.org/project/basewhat/
Reorganized cabinets in my kitchen. Food and pantry go together, dishes, pans and utensils go together. It is much more logical now, which doesn't change the fact that everything is in the wrong place!!! And it's going to be that way for a few weeks, I guess…
TIL there's only 3.5 million users on #Fediverse right now. I kinda assumed there were more than that, at least in the tenth of millions…

One thing that makes #TypeScript palatable for me, who generally dislikes declaring types for every tiny local situation, is that it can declare records (or "types", or "interfaces") *in place*. So I can do:
.map((value: {name: string, count: integer}) => { ... })
Not having to declare that somewhere else is crucial for not breaking the flow.
