@dansup maybe I misunderstand things, but it seems the Instagram import is on pixelfed.social (at least, I saw screenshots of it), yet I cannot find it in the repo.
I'm happy to announce that my barebones ActivityPub server, implemented in Node.js/Express, is now open source! I intend for it to be a reference implementation for developers who are adding ActivityPub to their own services, but also it is an application server that you can build on if you want.
In other words, t's a few hundred lines of code that lets you create Mastodon-compatible accounts that can accept follow requests and post stuff to their followers.
@GwenfarsGarden you did! I think you are right about your followers, though. Hope this setting helps a bit.
if you're moving instances:
In Settings > Preferences, you can export who you follow, and then re-import that into your new account
the "Follows" count on your new account may be a bit lower than your old one - that's because you'll have to re-request locked accounts
all those you used to follow will get a notification when you follow them!
Under "Settings > Edit profile > Move" you can make it clear you've moved
So A8C isn’t it either. If anyone knows a remote job in customer support in the #WordPress world. Give me a shout. Open for job offers.
