I am irrationally gleeful today because I replaced a Bridge v2's power adapter with a USB-A-to-2.5mm-barrel cable.

Now I just plug in the USB-A cable to my new Prime Charger, 200W 6-Port Charging Station.

So, I've replaced 4 devices' power supplies with cables that plug into this sweet charging station. A Hue hub, my hub, and two 15w power supplies for my minis.

Now awaiting the cables (USB-A-to-2.1mm-barrel) for my two Eufy Homebase 2's!! 🎉🍾

@jgobble ooh. A fellow home automation nerd. Nice!

@montef Absolutely! I have prob 100 switches, bulbs, exhaust fans, outdoor lighting, a/c controllers, temp gauges inside fridges, security cams, etc! When we sold our last house, we sold it as "smart" and raised it $25k (AND GOT IT!) Then I bought all new tech for this house!

@jgobble Nice!
We’ve got security cameras, HomeAssistant, doors and windows all monitored. Smart locks and garage door. Exhaust fan. Landscape lighting follows sunrise/sunset. Washer /dryer sensors. Smart indoor accent lighting.
So much I want to do yet.
I don’t know if it’s a hobby or an obsession at this point.

@montef Oh, forgot we got garage door (Chamberlain - so am gonna change from AWFUL to a hubitat-friendly zigbee adapter), and smart locks.

W/D sensors: I have a plug that senses when W falls below certain voltage level for specified time (4 min) then alerts me it's done. Dryer? It's electric. Don't know of 220v zigbee plug. 🤪

ps: take it from me: it's an obsession!

@jgobble look up a “ratgdo” garage door interface.

Solves the Chamberlain issue without needing to change the actual door opener. It’s genius!

@montef THAT'S the one I was gonna get... but i heard backordered...so i was waiting.

I also heard it requires soldering to a chamberlain remote "switch" tho...or is that the other one?

@jgobble Absolutely no soldering required. It’s all spring loaded terminal strips.
You don’t need to touch the wall switch at all.
The RATGDO, emulates the MyQ communications protocol, and injects commands directly into the controller.

It took me more time to move the Jeep out of the garage, find the ladder, find my headlamp, realize it needed new batteries, change the batteries; than it did to install the RATGDO.

@montef $62! Gonna get it - pronto! Thanks!

@jgobble I don’t think you will regret it. It’s been absolutely rock solid for us since we installed it. We ordered it the day I saw Reed’s video about it.
