Yeah, I was about to say. It's still the simplest theory to assume that there's only one timeline and therefore it makes sense to assume it (especially since it would not change anything for us, if there were multiple timelines). But we also can't prove that there's not multiple timelines, because we can't cleanly measure quanta.
It could be the case that quanta behave differently based on which timeline you're in and we just wouldn't be able to know.
