what common household DIY task requires over an hour of continuous power drilling? trying to work out what my neighbours are doing but the only thing I can think of is “route out the entire wall until all that remains is dust”
maybe theyre just trying to hang a picture but they cant get it in quite the right place

same thing has been happening in the apt. upstairs from mine for the last couple days, but they were hammering (dowels?) in between. I can only assume they are mounting a mosaic piece by piece at this point.

@jk putting in new sockets in the wall mayhap, or putting up a hell of a lot of shelves right on the wall itself
@jk though preparing holes for new sockets would likely come with hammering and scraping in between as well, unless they're doing all the drilling up front
