" “You’ll be able to travel for free, forever on pure sunlight,” Musk said, as the crowd assembled at Tesla’s Hawthorne facility broke into cheers. “So I think it’s pretty hard to beat that, y’know?” He smirked. “Free long distance? You’re not going to get that with gasoline.” ...
... “Or AT&T,” quipped someone in the crowd.
“Yeah, exactly, or AT&T,” said Musk, pausing to chuckle. “So . . . I think this day will actually go down as being quite historic. I think at least on par with SpaceX docking with the space station earlier this year.” His expression had suddenly become deeply earnest. “I mean, I really think this is important. And really, I want you to go out there and spread the word.”
All quotes from Ludicrous by Niedermeyer.
"Instead, Brown was following in the path that the media launch for Autopilot had set: breaking Tesla’s rules to find out just how autonomous and futuristic the experience could be. And he’d been egged on by Elon Musk himself, who just months earlier had tweeted a video that Brown had posted to YouTube, showing Autopilot “saving” his Model S from a crash without his intervention. ...
... Musk’s caption credits Tesla’s “Autopilot steering to avoid collision with a truck,” potentially reinforcing Brown’s tragically mistaken belief that the system could keep him safe."
"Tesla said vehicle data showed that she had hit the brakes before the collision, disengaging Autopilot before the crash took place. “So if you don’t brake, it’s your fault because you weren’t paying attention,” she explained. “And if you do brake, it’s your fault because you were driving.” "
Government said autosteer reduced crashes by 40 percent.
People later found
"... the finding to be based on incomplete data and inept statistical analysis. Using the relatively small amount of complete data that Tesla had provided to NHTSA, the far more rigorous analysis that QCS ran concluded that “Autosteer is actually associated with an increase in the odds ratio of airbag deployment by more than a factor of 2.4.” "
Yes exactly this
"If Tesla were to completely eliminate the risks that killed Josh Brown, Autopilot would be almost impossible to distinguish from any other ADAS system, and Tesla’s supposed advantage in autonomousdrive technology (and the billions in market valuation that it brings) would disappear."
"Senator Elizabeth Warren has openly criticized Tesla for international "loopholes to help them get out of paying taxes."[445] Tesla runs subsidiaries in the "tax havens of Delaware, Nevada, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg, Malta and Switzerland", with several of the companies belonging to "high risk company types for tax avoidance."[446]"

"Even Musk himself seemed not to enjoy the experience, telling a manager during the troubled Model X launch, “I could be in Bora Bora right now fucking an actress, and instead I’m here babysitting you guys on the line.” "
From Ludicrous
"It didn’t take long for the culture clash to boil over. After he had identified one too many defects, a colleague took the production team’s frustrations with Frank up the ladder. As Frank remembers it, “Elon Musk came out and said, ‘We’re not building Toyotas.’” The message was clear: unlike other car companies, Tesla was not focused on consistent quality. Before long, Frank would be fired. Payback, most likely, for giving a crap about quality and being vocal about it."
"Even Musk’s brother and fellow Tesla board member Kimbal Musk was worried about the lengths to which he was going to save the company, telling Ashlee Vance, “he definitely took risks that seemed like they could have landed him in jail for using someone else’s money.” "
"Whatever else may have gone into what must be the most miraculous month in auto sales history, the resulting $11 million single-quarter profit turned out to be the spark that turned Tesla into a stock market phenomenon. Within days of announcing its Q1 profit, Tesla sold more than $1 billion worth of stock and convertible bonds and used the proceeds to pay off the DOE loan completely."
Fascinating book but I'm probably not going to care enough to finish it
"And though taxpayers saw their loan money repaid (with $12 million in interest), the extinguishment of the DOE’s warrants on Tesla stock meant that the government missed out on its opportunity for upside. Had the DOE retained its 3,090,111 Tesla warrants, which were priced at between $7.50 and $9 per share, the upside could have exceeded a billion dollars."
When you are responding to a Tesla please use lots of water.
(This is likely applicable to all electric cars I just found it interesting.)
He showed he had no clue what he's doing in video games he's supposed to be a world leading player of. (Or is he just a world leader of Diablo 4? Who knows. He's definitely got people playing for him for some weird reason which is probably self-esteem related.)
Fraudster gonna fraud, even if the topic is silly
Even his first venture is attributable to others.
https://www.the961.com/gregory-kouri-lebanese-behind-elon-musk-and-paypal/
Ah Billy boy. You're also not so bright are ye.
"If someone is super-smart, and he is," said Bill Gates, about Musk.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jan/27/bill-gates-elon-musk-far-right
I missed this. His lottery was a fraud. There was no lottery.
All the people who got the million dollars were paid for their cooperation with his America PAC and selected in advance.
https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musks-1m-swing-state-sweepstakes-was-never-a-lottery-2024-11
His car shows are a fraud. Self-driving is a fraud. The Cybertruck is a failure. Neuralink is old tech. xAI is doomed. Tesla is losing money and hides its financials. Maintenance on those cars will kill it. SpaceX does launch rockets but is heavily subsidized. His entrepreneurship is a fraud. He lies and says he was founder. His first venture was successful with the help of a Lebanese entrepreneur.
He's just a quintessential con man.
What a surprise. A Musk fanboi on here. They do get everywhere, don't they. Like cockroaches.
Remember, clear writing is best!
Therefore, instead of:
"Tesla sales slump because of Musk's endorsement of the far-right"
Try,:
"Tesla sales slump because Musk is a bloody Nazi"
SpaceX just got some money I hear.
No surprise there.
There's no point being surprised about the bank robber walking away with bags of money.
That's the whole point to robbing the bank.
If you want to know why Elon is all in on politics, then:
"Tesla’s 2024 financial results are out—and they’re terrible "
https://arstechnica.com/cars/2025/01/teslas-2024-financial-results-are-out-and-theyre-terrible/
It's a post by Elon Musk, con man, in which he says veterans who just got fired were used to getting paid a lot for doing nothing and that being fired will be tough but now they will be able to do useful work for humanity.
This man who leeches off government subsidies, con man, and who has clearly lost his mind dares to say this.
He can't pay child support but he sure uses his children as props when needed.
Edit: if he's not going to pay support maybe he should at least pay union actor guild wages for the kid since he's being used in a show
Reminder Musk's own biographer called him a sociopath and said he did not care about the kid other than as a prop at Auschwitz.
"When he placed a wreath at Auschwitz and Gidon was overlooked, he walked swsy with the cameras whirring"
"Even Musk himself seemed not to enjoy the experience, telling a manager during the troubled Model X launch, “I could be in Bora Bora right now fucking an actress, and instead I’m here babysitting you guys on the line.” "
From the book Ludicrous
Holy smokes I can't believe I missed this but
- the DOGE logo has the Nazi golden gear component
- it has 8 stars plus 8 stars (88 being code for heil Hitler)
- when Musk reposted Trump saying anything is legal if in support of his country he posted 14 American flags and that represents the number of words in a white supremacist slogan)
I don't normally cite Substack but damn I missed these items in that stupid logo and don't visit Twitter any more.
Quick internet search later and, for what it's worth
Robotaxi released 8/8.
When asked, Musk said 8 was lucky in Chinese and it was the dates his triplets were born.
So, 8 being a lucky number in China is important to Musk? Really?
His triplets are said to have been born in January and not August.
https://www.augustman.com/sg/entertainment/culture/living/elon-musk-children-in-chronological-order/
Anyway, I don't care to dig more on this and birthdays. Maybe the 88 here means something. Maybe not.
In either case, the man gave a Nazi salute at the inauguration a few months later because he couldn't help himself.
The logo has too many coincidences to not be meaningful.
And he has also said and done racist and supremacist things in the open at the end of the day.
(for those interested, the Golden gear was found in the logo of the German Labour Front (DAF), which was a mandatory "union" that replaced all other unions after the Nazis smashed their offices and took their assets.
The DAF's trustees decided all labor matters. They were appointed by Hitler.
It pretended to represent worker and employer rights but really it just kept wages low for the benefit of employers
Strikes were not allowed and there was no more collective bargaining. I don't think I actually know how disputes were raised before it but it doesn't really matter because it was a sham anyway.)
Speaking of low wages, Nazis, and Elon Musk please see about ten posts back.
The golden one was given as an award for good production numbers.
Good summary of the racist family history of Elon's mother, Maye.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/maye-musk-elon-mother-maga-b2696141.html
"Haldeman’s belief that apartheid South Africa was destined to lead “white Christian civilisation” in its fight against the “international conspiracy” of Jewish bankers and the “hordes of colored people” they controlled."
"Musk says that Grok-3 is a “maximally truth-seeking AI — even if that truth is sometimes at odds with what is politically correct.” "
Ah, so it's a Nazi as well?
Pathological liar eh?
Now, I wonder why I'd post this in the Elon thread.
He has a single page in his playbook. Here he is ordering everybody to list their accomplishments and report to work or they will be fired. Same as he did with Twitter.
As if he's going to be able to meaningfully analyze anyone's accomplishments
EDIT: sorry, I should clarify. He might be able to meaningfully assess their achievements if their job is to do ketamine. The Jonathan regrets this error.
https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2025/02/23/world/politics/musk-federal-worker-demand/
His stupid Optimus robots are teleoperated meaning there's a human doing the movements that the robot mimics.
https://gizmodo.com/openai-figure-01-robot-video-tesla-optimus-embarrassing-1851334166
Neuralink is doing old tech too.
How are the Las Vegas Hyperloop tunnels
So Elon's father says that he made the salute to show he didn't have a gun. I see.
https://www.irishstar.com/news/us-news/musks-dad-reveals-ludicrous-reason-34740919
I just want to note here that it appears Elon owns it 13% of Tesla and about 54% of SpaceX. If SpaceX is valued at 300 billion, he's worth a lot more out of SpaceX than Tesla. Maybe Tesla will go in the can and he won't even care.
Elon only owns 13% of Tesla and its valuation is about $850 billion. If he pulls 60 billion of stock out as pay he's tremendously diluting everyone.
Toyota is a $180 billion company by contrast.
Why anyone would invest in this Tesla garbage is beyond me. It's Gamestop for people who want to lose even more money than GameStop lost.
SpaceX is a terrible employer. As just one example its injury rate is far above the industry average.
It's destroying the nearby wildlife refuge, forcing nearby beaches to be closed for residents, and scorching animal habitat.
When Starship blew up, SpaceX had not installed flame diverters or a water system.
We should seriously ask ourselves whether there is any hope we colonize Mars before we destroy Earth and, more importantly, what the point of that would be.
They cry "lawfare" any time they face any repercussions whatsoever.
Note DogeDesigner is a garbage account. Here it is pushing propaganda for Musk to retweet.
Slight tangent.
Well, or we could all just die out, buddy.
"The idea of, you know, colonizing the moon and go to Mars is also just really inspiring.
His pal: And it's inevitable. I think the Earth is not infinite in its resources, so we got to start looking elsewhere."
Stock-pumping halo-making future fantasy porn for morons
Every time there's bad news it's time for Elon to spin ...
... The Wheel of Distraction!
I AM NOT HOLDING THAT BAG scream insiders as they sell Space Nazi's con company stock
Tesla is missing 1.4 BILLION dollars (that's a thousand millions).
That's raising lots of red flags.
Red Nazi flags.
Elon Musk, bona fide Nazi, who does the salute and says white supremacist things:
I am upset people call me a Nazi
Also Elon Musk, with absolutely no evidence whatsoever:
Trans people are burning my Tesla stores.
HAHAHA THE TESLA INSIDERS JUST SOLD THEIR STOCK AND ELON WANTS EMPLOYEES TO HANG ON TO THEIR STOCK
ABSOLUTELY BONKERS
"My predictions have a pretty good track record"
- Elon Musk
Just another day committing fraud for Elon Musk.

X in ASCII code is 88, which is used by neo-Nazis to refer to HH for "Heil Hitler"
@jmcrookston Like, even if they all did, and he read them all (totally not happening) like he would understand 90% of what they do and why it is important.
He assumes he knows absolutely everything about what is involved in government (he doesn't). Like he had no idea what was required to make Twitter function.
He thinks he knows how business runs, because he has bought a few. LIke I should know how books are built because i have bought quite a few.
Or we could stop making our demands for resources infinite.
@jmcrookston it's not missing . it's sat in the white house. Elections aren't cheap.
@jmcrookston he's held x[.]com since the ebay days, i don't think he was red pilled back then, just quite dumb, and obsessed with that idea of an "everything app/website".
@tshirtman Probably so, as of then.
@jmcrookston It could also be that Musk trying to make people pay $8 to use Twitter was a subtle visual “88” reference :(
That's what white people do... we show up, plunder, loot, rape, and then claim the land as ours...
We are already leaving our garbage all around in space, the moon, and mars.
Our space program will continue our legacy of polluting everywhere long after we are gone.
Do you think we can make it an Olympic sport so we can also get some medals for doing so?
More seriously, yes, it's depressing. We will probably pollute the orbital space with satellite debris and trap ourselves on Earth.
And #elon wins the gold for plundering....
@jmcrookston " its injury rate is far above the industry average. " There's a surprise. From a company that seems to just keep throwing spaghetti at the wall without checking to see if the water is boiling and looking at a timer.
The environmental track record of Tesla is totally on brand. Musk should be crippling the EPA any day now ...
https://qz.com/tesla-pollution-elon-musk-doge-donald-trump-spacex-1851707128
I am quietly crossing fingers that he'll turn out to be heavily leveraged somehow, so that a Tesla stock-price fall causes loans to be called in, and cascading losses.
