Wan Chai,

@sixtus shit 🤦‍♂️ poor people in HongKong 🇭🇰. One desaster after another.. At 1st the communist from the mainland, now the weather… luckily it has nothing to do with global warming, according to Bejing… 😎

@HoldenUte2018 @sixtus This was an unprecedented flood, but the city is well prepared. Signaling systems and regulations are in place, people keep safe.

There will be damage and repair cost for sure, but 70 years ago when many people lived in slums it would have been far worse. I haven't heard of any loss of life here.

Taiwan and Fujian were hit directly and were far worse off, with evacuations, people killed and injured and loss of electricity.

"At least 2 dead after battered by record rainfall, severe "
Having seen too many news clips of Hong Kong people and vehicles stranded in waist-high flood waters, it begs the question of whether HK Observatory issued a black rainstorm warning sufficiently in advance to protect lives and property? And, if did not, why not?

HK needs better disaster awareness
