This has got my brain kicking along in a narrative direction I didn't expect. The composition was just for the sake of trying a couple different contrast techniques while limbering up on lino, but looking at it afterward it really feels like a moment in the middle of wordless, abstract story.
I don't know what that story is or whether I'll end up executing it in linocut or otherwise, but I do definitely have a couple dozen thumbnail sketches of storyboard for what might be chapter one.
Which is a humongous bite to take on day like three of getting into carving again. I'm sore tonight and will be more so tomorrow just from doing this one, so saying "oh, a few dozen more" right off the bat is really a big reach. But, well, so is a lot of shit, so...
