In order:
1. A basic middle-of-the-road solution.
2. A cheap (minimal parts) solution.
3. A small (covering minimal total hexagons) solution.
4. A fast (using minimal cycles) solution.

@phooky I was pretty excited about Shenzen and then totally unrelated circumstances meant I didn't get much farther than the initial reveal of that lovely little solitaire game in the plot. I need to get back to it at some point.
