and you know that thing, where if you say something, you start acting more and more like it's true? well, yeah, just admitting this tiny crush to a mutual friend increased it exponentially, and now i'm stuck waiting for my friend to complete her investigation while trying to fend off this stupid obsession. :/

and like, i moved on soooo long ago, but the pathways formed around her and they take so long to change. since then, i've tried to be more open with my feelings, so they don't just fester in solitude in my mind. so, recently, when i started crushing on this one girl, i asked our mutual friend if she was single, so i could either ask her out or move on, thus freeing me from obsession. of course, the response i get is 'it's complicated, but i'll find out'.

ugh, i hate how obsessive i am, like about everything, but especially romantic interests. like, when i develop a crush on somebody, they become all i can think about. for example, when i was in elementary-middle school i had the biggest crush on this girl for so long (i went to a small, religious school, the whole thing k-8 was ~150 students, i didn't have many options) that my neural pathways became so trained on her, that i still think about her when i'm trying to sleep.

does anyone know how to get handles to turn into links in your bio? i see other people doing this, but everytime i try, it just stays plaintext.

FUCK. how does my phone die ON THE CHARGER. it had like 24% when i put it on. now i've completely missed a shift of work.

welp. looks like my phone's getting replaced over what is obviously a software issue. i'm just happy to see a small sliver of g👀gle's fortune go to waste. also, a screen without scratches sounds pretty good.

that leaves gmail and gcal. my end goal here is to self-host, but i'd rather not mess with that right now. does anyone know of a good stopgap alternative in the mean time?

i hope to be switching mobile carriers from project fi to verizon soon, and once i eliminate my need for any other google service, flashing my pixel with copperhead os should allow me to eliminate my reliance on google entirely.

google home, chromecast, and youtube could be a little more difficult, but i'm hoping i can make do with mycroft, kodi, and using youtube without being logged in.

google domains should be another easy switch, i can just transfer them to gandi or namecheap or something. maps is fairly easy, too. openstreetmaps is fairly decent, and there are a good number of apps that use it.

books should be the easiest to eliminate, all i need to do is find another epub reader which cannot be that difficult. photos shouldn't be that bad either. i don't take photos that often, and have enough space on my desktop to back them up when i do.
