Nintendo should pull a SEGA, abandon hardware, and go software/games only and put them on every platform.

It will never happen, but one can hope. There are games that I think I would enjoy that I just won’t experience because it’s not worth buying a Switch

@lotus42 I hear you, but consider my alternative proposal:

Buy a Switch and Breath of the Wild and abandon your heathen ways.

@jwisser lol… nah. BoTW probably wouldn’t even be a huge interest for me, as much as I’ve liked previous LoZ games it just seems too distant/quiet/etc. It’d be fun but from the quite a bit I’ve watched it doesn’t seem to have the same charm.

@jwisser There aren’t that many games on Switch I’d like either, unfortunately. Fire Emblem is a big one that I *do* want to play… I just can’t justify buying a console for 1-2 games

@lotus42 A better man than I, then. I explicitly bought my Switch for Pokémon and Smash Bros, which didn't work out, since this generation of Smash just made me angry. But I bought BotW so my friends would stop nagging me and it saved the day.

That said, I really really REALLY really really wish Nintendo would release emulated versions of a bunch of N64 games—e.g., Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Stadium, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, etc—on Switch. That would seal the deal on a good investment for me.

@jwisser Trying to figure out if there are enough other games to give in and get one, maybe I just haven’t found them yet.
