real talk: are there standard meanings for the different emoji heart colors ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 or do people just use whichever they feel like?
@moltensteel Hmm, I mostly use red because sometimes ❤️ or 💔 is all I know how to say in the moment and consistency is nice. I just worry people see red as a more "romantic" color or whatever, when that's not what I mean.
@kcsaff Yeah red is definitely the default. I rarely see the others
@kcsaff Generally what I see is people picking favorite colors and sticking with them. I know someone who always uses purple, I usually use red and pink, but when I'm posting them in response to one of my girlfriend's selfies I use blue and green because they're colors I associate with her.
@kcsaff roses represent love but yellow roses represent friendship. maybe that carries over😜
@kcsaff I think it's mostly random. Sometimes green heart is in the profiles of environmentalists or something
