something felt absent from xoxo this year compared to past years. i'm still trying to figure out why i feel that way.
the one concrete thing i have is that it felt way harder to approach people and make new friends, and when i finally did most people would talk pleasantries and walk away. it felt more transactional.
previous years felt like a worldwide community coming together; this year felt like two thousand individuals happened to be in the same stadium.
