Idk like, I wonder how many bad inner-community discourses are an issue of competing needs between folks?

Like, some autistic people need quiet places.

some autistic people need to stim loudly and have no volume control.

both those groups are part of the same community but may need different spaces, at the same time it would be bad for them to be completely shut off from one another?

Idk just musing here :-p

@Scavenger I think about this a lot, my own need for self-expression is often at odds with my drive to avoid making anyone uncomfortable ever. I tend to vacillate based on ??? which I worry makes me seem unstable

@kevspace yeah, i kinda get that too? Idk it's a hard one to solve at times, especially finding a space that feels comfortable to self express without the fear of rejection, especially if you have anxiety which makes you fear being rejected over /everything/ :-p

The only way I've been able to solve this myself is to exist in a few different spaces for different bits of myself? :-0

@Scavenger yep!! I used to get bummed out about it-- 'I know a few people in all these different circles but none of them would like each other and I never feel like I truly belong to a community'-- but now I think of it like hey I contain multitudes, humans are tribal, I relish every connection, maintain friendships, focus on commonalities. or, I TRY to think like that anyway.('communities' fall apart after they all date one other and/or move away anyway. flexibility is an asset)
