I’ve boggled several minds today by mentioning that on my laptops, I have remapped the CapsLock key to act as an additional Ctrl key.
Somehow I had grown to assume that that’s how everyone does it, but there you go.
also have an extra M- key? I mean , surely this is because of #emacs?

@gijs I mean, of course I started doing this when I was using emacs.
But the additional CTRL key also proved itself more ergonomic and efficient when using Office on Windows.
And it makes sense. If you have a key that provides access to three quarters of commonly used shortcuts, why put it somewhere hard to reach?
