Wait, wait, everyone. If you're teaching someone how to use Mastodon, are you giving them a... toot-orial?

Seeing how well Mastodon is doing makes me want to finish a similar project I started a while back.

update: Admins can now easily close registrations with a custom message. In other news, I have closed registrations to for now ensure a quality of service for all existing ones, and to promote other federated nodes.

I like the community so far on this instance, seems to be mostly programmers, makers, creators and what not.

A language filter for the timelines would also be helpful.

One basic thing I see that could be added to Mastodon is meta data being pulled in from a Gif link.

Not too sure about doing it with web links as it might become too spammy like.

If Mastodon's backend was built on node I would look at contributing a good deal.

Maybe the "clear all" notification shouldnt be a trash can icon. Makes me want to clear individual notifications for some reason, which makes me accidentally delete posts 😐

Posting on Birbsite after being spoiled with 500 characters feels like trying to stuff a bowling ball into a condom.
