@ajroach42 So far my hashtag searches haven't turned much up, and I'm not sure whether this is because hashtags aren't as popular here, there aren't many data science types here yet, or hashtag searches are somehow limited to my instance. I don't think that last one is the case, but I'm not sure.

I'm fairly certain hastags search across instances. I'm not certain that there are many #datascientists using the platform.
But, you know, fix that?
@ajroach42 @ksunter Mastodon.social is the largest instance, so you're probably searching everything. I haven't tried specific group tags yet, but the content space is really thin still - like 150k user-days or so.

@ksunter i'm an information student, so i'll ping you if i come across anyone relevant! lots of tech/games people on toot.cat and witches.town (and some on toot.cafe), but i haven't seen any other explicitly data scientists yet
