@SlowRain @mirabilis @ChristinaO I can't read without hearing the words ! ...been to several classes as a child, but I read as fast as I can hear those words, and that's that.-I also read different people's writing in their voices, if I know how they sound. :)

I'm a slow reader, too. I read at the speed of speaking it out loud. I pause for every comma & stop for every period. My wife, whose third language is English, reads faster than I do.
