Does anyone know a tutorial on how to install #tinycore via command line? And also I would like to install #emacs but I seems not to be packaged for this distribution (as well as nano and such Oo). I like this minimalist #distribution but I'd like very much some cool command line software on it.
I find it unbelievably hilarious that I wanted to get away from #emacs and #orgmode and start using the @nextcloud notes app (that uses markdown) for a better cross-device support.
Well, it appears that the only piece of software on a #linux desktop that is handy and can reliably synchronise markdown files is emacs and a simple nextcloud folder synchronisation .
Anyone here has his #nextcloud #carddav contacts synced with #bbdb in #emacs? I have a hard time figuring out a config that works...
Me after finally having had the patience to learn how to use #emacs:
Writing #notes? Emacs!
Writing #email? Emacs!
Managing my #calendar? Emacs!
Write #LaTeX code? Emacs!
Making #pancakes? EMACS!
But seriously this fine piece of free software bundles so much stuff for which I needed multiple programs. Using emacs simplified a lot in my workflow.
"You know that Gnus gives you all the opportunity you’d ever want for shooting yourself
in the foot. Some people call it flexibility." (Gnus Manual)
If you don't like #emacs, #gnus, #linux, or #manuals you should seriously reconsider your #priorities in #life. Nevertheless your should read this manual it is absolutely unique...
I just discovered #org-mode for #emacs and it might be my solution for taking and editing notes that I was searching for a long time. Is it possible to have it directly interact with a webdav server such as #nextcloud? Anyway in combination with local synchronisation it's already pretty neat.
