"OTOH, OpenSSL wanted concrete evidence of exploitability." <- folks, this is not what security researchers want to hear. Fixing the vulnerability will result in a better product. Just do it, if even just for code correctness sake.
In this particular case, it took the researchers around a year-and-a-half to come up with a PoC, leaving everyone insecure for that entire time (and longer as it takes time for people to patch.)

How #Uber has lost a customer:
I’ve received a renewed debit card and wanted to update it in the application. It hasn’t allowed me to remove the old card (despite it had already expired) because of it being the only payment method. I’ve then tried to add the new card first, but… the application has prohibited this because the new card has the same number as the old one.
For some time I’ve been using #Taxify then (if available in a particular city).

Dodanie funkcjonalności grup ma swój issue na GitHubie - https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/139 - ale nie ma niestety wysokiego priorytetu. Nie chce ktoś zrobić pull requesta? :P

@saper Kiedyś też omijałem Google'a na wszelkie sposoby, miałem własny serwer poczty, własny serwer XMPP, Jollę z Sailfishem zamiast Androida, kombinowałem z Bingami zamiast Google Search.
Potem mi przeszło. Życie jest za krótkie żeby je sobie utrudniać.
Postanowiłem złożyć hold lenny Goglowi, i teraz używam tak wielu ich usług jak to tylko możliwe. I jest to bardzo wygodne.
Trochę szkoda niezależności - ale póki większość społeczeństwa wybiera gigantów, opór jednostkowy prawie nic nie daje.
