Isaac Asimov was a groper
“Women have long occupied an ambiguous place in science fiction, where they have been alternately welcomed, dismissed, and harassed.
“Asimov took advantage of what he called the rising percentage of ‘shrill young girls’ at conventions in the 1960s, and his unique position at such events—he was invariably the center of attention—made his example especially insidious.”
What a piece of shit.
Isaac Asimov was a groper
“After the war, his reputation as a groper became a running joke among science fiction fans. The writer and editor Judith Merril recalled that Asimov was known in the 1940s as ‘the man with a hundred hands.’”
“Thanks to two decades of corporate tax giveaways, Canadian corporations paid off their collective tax bill at 9 am this morning — and the data suggests they won’t be putting their after-tax savings to productive use.”
“Watching television for more than 3.5 hours per day was associated with poorer verbal memory six years later with evidence of a dose-response relationship: greater hours of television per day were associated with poorer verbal memory”
No matter where we live, working people have the same enemy: a ruling class that starves, abuses, exploits, neglects us and sends us to die in their ridiculous wars that have nothing to do with us.
I have more in common with any given clock-punching Iranian than I do with the bloodless creeps who run our foreign policy death cult. They're not my "team."
And you lie to your kids’ faces and put some Coca-Cola–red consumerist mascot between you and them during the years in which they are the most curious and vulnerable. It’s sick.
Santa Claus is a fucked up psy-op you run on your kids.

And checking GameFAQs or printed guidebooks always felt like cheating.
(Whereas today, wikis and YouTube videos are just accepted ways to learn before buying, to develop fluency, get the most of your play in specific ways.)
Also, really did not enjoy spending so much time rolling a character for a single-player CRPG, especially back in the 90’s and early 2000’s, when there were so many dead ends and uninteresting builds that you’d discover—if ever—after hours and hours of play.
Listening to the Fallout re-play podcast Too Much Future…
Man, you really really should avoid making a bad or mediocre first-hour experience of your game.
Realizing that back in ‘99 (2000?) when I played Fallout, I was confused why it was so lauded—because I’d played only the first few hours and it only really picks up and has character a while further in.
I sold my disc to a friend for like $5; never went back until Fallout 3. 🤷♂️
