grep -r waldo /tmp ~/Documents ~/.config /etc # An old bad habit of mine is to search a directory at a time instead of just putting multiple directories in the same command. But grep can do that, it has the technology.

@climagic Essentially the same as 'grep waldo *txt' in that grep doesn't see the glob, rather the list of files the glob matches, presuming there's a match
