Had a huddled conversation in the European Parliament with a colleague after the JURI vote trying to work out what #article13 would mean for federated/decentralized services like #mastodon and #ipfs . We’ll need to see the final text which may not be available until next week.
@mala was there any comment or apparent recognition of the controversy surrounding these two articles? Any sense of how any of that was felt or disregarded? Lastly, does this change strategy at all for the future (i.e. combating crazy proposals earlier when they're theoretically just ideas)? I know that would be taxing and confusing. Again, thanks for being there.
