@mala pretty impressive that even they're about to kick out Stallman.

@mala

Thanks for the link.

This is really opportunistic behaviour, all that twisting of his CSAIL e-mail is a strong tailwind.

These people declaring independence from #RMS are "the" #GCC, #binutils, #glibc, #GDB and #Emacs people, basically the #GNU maintainers that matter most! Oh boy!

I hope #Stallman has a "nest egg" or has saved for a rainy day, because IT IS POURING!

@mala "...we must also acknowledge that Stallman’s behavior over the years has undermined a core value of the GNU project: the empowerment of all computer users. GNU is not fulfilling its mission when the behavior of its leader alienates a large part of those we want to reach out to." Well said +1.

@dekkzz78 @mala I guess there always has to be a straw that breaks the camel‘s back...

@mala it's quite bizarre to see them emphasizing 'everyone' so much while the list contains of practically only white dudes in their 30ies.

Stallman in his with his 66 years of age was the only one who brought *any*, even if it was only age wise, diversity into this group.

Was this the reason he needed to go? </conspiracy> ;)

@jeena @mala maybe because white dudes in their thirties are the only ones that hadn't already parted ways with Stallman

@jon_valdes @mala it remains to be seen if this group grows now in diversity.

@jeena @mala so you're saying: kicking Stallman out of GNU is bad because doing so reduces the last bit of diversity in that group, even though he himself seems to have been the primary factor against diversity in the first place.

You're saying it's better to have a group with a bunch of white dudes in their 30's and one old creep, than to have a group with only the white dudes.

I think your priorities need a little bit of double checking.
