What’s a good alternative to Arch Linux?
I have no problem using systemd, I want a rolling release cycle and always up to date packages.
@markus Manjaro Linux is excellent. It is based on Arch, but is quick and easy to set up.
Alternatively, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed is pretty good, although they don't have the same amount of software as what you'll find in the AUR.
I would stay away from manjaro and other arch derivates. There's no support from the official irc channels and everything kinda works like arch but then in the details it doesnt. I use arch myself and wouldn't recommend anything else especially if you're familiar with it already. If hard pressed for a rolling release alternative, maybe give fedora rolling release a try.
@markus alpinelinux, uses musl & friends
@markus Why do you want to replace it? There's a lot of options out there.
@hund oh I don't. I just wanted to try something new when I got the Thinkpad. I sent the notebook back though.
@markus There's a few fun systemd free distros based on Arch if you're feeling adventures.
