Last night I restarted Chrome and I got this message and just like that I'm a Firefox user again
@vaurora
Next up, replacing firefox with LibreWolf, due to Firefox doing really dodgy stuff with their terms and conditions? :)
@martijndevrieze @vaurora
I've been using LibreWolf on my desk for about two weeks now.
Since it doesn't save cookies by default, I have to log in sites regularly. I kind of like it, it's been making me more thoughtful about what I'm doing online.
I have pretty much abandoned Amazon except for searching for items I then buy elsewhere, but because I have to log in and use 2FA every time, I avoid it even more.
@RealGene @martijndevrieze you can change the cookie saving behavior in Librewolf, it's a toggle in settings.
@miah @martijndevrieze
I know, and I've set exceptions for a few sites, but I'm not going back.
@RealGene @vaurora
The cookies is indeed something I too at first found annoying, but then got to appreciate a lot.
Amazon in Netherlands at least, is not so all present as it is in the US, so I have no hard ties to Amazon.
My next step will be going for a different phone, now still on Google hardware with GrapheneOS on it. Want to change that over as well. Most likely to a fairphone with e/os on it.
@martijndevrieze @RealGene keep me up to date if you switch to a fair phone, that seems like the only real option. I am already moving towards having a home iOS device for WhatsApp so I could put my banking apps on that too and not worry about support for e/os
