@mastohost That’s great! They outline some steps here: https://keybase.io/docs/proof_integration_guide#1-1-config-validation
In the request, I have to include either a config file or public url for Keybase verification. Can I get that from you? Or, is the URL just the URL for the instance?
@mike FIrst time I came across that and several other instance hosted with me already have it in place. Ins't there a work around?
@mastohost That article is probably pre-Mastodon/Keybase rollout then. I’ll reach out and see what they say. :)
The link @mike gave is the one they link in their blog post about Keybase integration: https://keybase.io/blog/keybase-proofs-for-mastodon-and-everyone Apparently as part of the process each instance admin needs to reach out to a particular Keybase user (presumably a staff member) to get added?!
@dl @mike @mastohost I questioned the whole approach at the time. They will let you verify yourself as being connected any website you own, no matter how tiny it is. But they want to whitelist mastodon instances? When the whole point of mastodon is that there be many small sites talking to each other? I do not get it.
