Hello fediverse! https://lib.reviews/ is a free/open/nonprofit alternative to proprietary review sites like #Goodreads, #Yelp, #IMDB.
It plugs into #opendata sources: #Wikidata, #OpenLibrary and #OpenStreetMap (OSM integration is very basic at this point). Still a long way to go but we have a small community and lots of reviews already. On GitHub at: https://github.com/eloquence/lib.reviews - IRC: #lib.reviews on irc.freenode.net - Matrix: https://matrix.to/#/#lib.reviews:matrix.org
hi @maxlath take a look at
@lib_reviews, they are using #opendata sources building a free/open/nonprofit alternative to proprietary plattforms like #goodreads.
Also libReview, take a look at https://inventaire.io/welcome developed by Maxime, also using opendata, being free etc. and being some kind of online libary
(but propably you know each others already)
@lib_reviews @paulfree14 we will be working at integrating reviews within inventaire somewhere in the coming year https://trello.com/c/uwdkvGl1/114-book-reviews , that could be worth having a look together on how to integrate lib.reviews :) do you have an API with which we could request reviews by Wikidata id?
@maxlath
Omg there great. A truly comparable combination to GoodReads then
@lib_reviews @paulfree14
@maxlath @paulfree14 Not elegantly, but you can make it work right now by combining an API call with an Atom feed lookup:
