Hi there if you are in America I suggest you ASAP contact your congressperson and ask them to oppose the CASE act, a weird copyright bill being voted on tomorrow

Verge article:

Short version: Now in addition to normal courts plus the DMCA there'd be this new weird copyright quasi-court. By my read if notice is served and you don't respond within 60 days you could get hit with a $15,000 fine as default judgement. Sounds really easy to abuse.

@mcc yikes that looks sketchy and there's definitely a slippery slope if this is implemented

@mcc Thanks for ALERTING me to this Bill... I Had Never Known anythng about it...

@mcc I just called Anna Eshoo, Diane Feinstein and Kamala Harris to ask them to please vote no.

Seems like every couple of years we have to stop one of these internet-killing bills written by copyright lobbyists.

So the only thing we can do is...asking kindly to not vote for it and hope that they listen to you. In other words, absolutly nothing.

@mcc Seems like every time legislation like this is proposed, it's hailed as "helping small businesses" yet the ones that benefit most are the biggest businesses.
