Healthcare in America.
@memepasmal I'm French, and have been living in Austria for the last ~4 years. Both have co-pay (“tiers payant”) and generally, functional #healthcare systems.
I rationally knew the US system was crap, but now I et it in a much more visceral way. Also, the stress of dealing with it makes me sicker :V

@memepasmal C'est comment au lux cela ressemble à ça. En Suisse on demande de payer à l'accueil aprés on regarde ce qu'on peut faire aux urgences dentaires.
@memepasmal Having recently received a $1300 bill for having been to the ER, I can confirm. :V
The hospital billed $600 just for _having done an injection_ (which they mislabeled as IV, though it was intramuscular) ...
