Grilled snapper and prawns for a party the other night. It was part of a dinner including my, now, family trademarked cactus, tomatillo and three way jalapeño salsa (roasted, fresh and pickled). The rubs worked beautifully. It was a great evening with friend and food.

This is one of the things I've been working on in therapy for the last few years. I'm emotionally numb over it. It's one ingredient of my decades of emotional numbness. Unable to trust, unable to love myself, unable to form meaningful relationships and all the ancillary baggage that comes with it.

Made a Vietnamese chicken coleslaw with coconut cream rice for dinner tonight. We're having our first hot'ish streak in what will likely be a hot summer.

It was light and tasty on a 32 degree day. What's fun for me though was continuing to build my young niece's (12 & 16) tastebuds. Fish sauce based dressings in particular.

They are beginning to think of it as just being good and yummy. I like expanding their food world.

Marriage equality PTSD survey is closed and the bigots are working hard to make any legislation about the right to say FUCK YOU to the folks they hate so much. The process is about to enter its second phase of trauma to the LGBTQI community. Making a law.
