10 years ago this month I purchased my Honda Goldwing. I sure miss it.

That feeling when you read one of your old blog posts and laugh at yourself. 😆

I don't know why I worry about showing up on time for this ferry. It's always late. 😞

I've logged almost 1,700 miles in rides this year. In about a day from now several of the riders will have ridden as much in just 7 days... on gravel roads... through the mountains... self supported. 😅 They are absolutely crushing it. Really incredible what they accomplishing in such a short time.

If it weren't for great friends and an amazing wife, holding onto hope for humanity would be a whole lot harder.

154 years ago, slavery effectively ended in the United States. It's frustrating slavery was ever a thing but glad it was officially ended. We still have human trafficking issues today so the fight continues. history.com/news/what-is-junet

Getting prepped for my 300k ride attempt this weekend. Got the course loaded on my GPS and getting all my gear together. Really hoping the weather is nice for me.

The tour divide racers are crushing it this year. Absolutely incredible what they have accomplished so far. I'm a big fan of Leal Wilcox and I'm rooting for her to set a new record this year. trackleaders.com/tourdivide19

All those years playing the Oregon trail and I never looked up what dysentery is. 🤦‍♂️ Makes me wonder how many lives would have been saved back in the day with some hand sanitizer and a sawyer mini.

A wonderful gift from my sweet wife while at church today. 🥰

Time to get crazy! I'll be attempting my first 300 km ride next weekend. Let the summer craze continue! 🤪🚴‍♂️

Finished my first official at 200km. Great ride with lots of killer hole around Whidbey island. Got a flat tire 6 miles from the finish. Got to know a few others riders and it was a great experience. Looking forward to more in the future. Now for a shower and sleep!!!

Got my kit all ready to go for tomorrow ride. This will be my first official 200k with the International Randonneurs. Now to get into bed!

Finished 200 km yesterday and today I feel pretty good. I enjoyed it so much I think it's time to try some rides. FTW!

Last week I rode 100 km. Today I completed a 200 km ride. First time that I've ridden 200 km in a day. Was an incredible day and I'm glad I got to spend it with my parents who rode must of that with me.
