open source software is worthless unless it welcomes criticism outside of just the people who work on it
@mint I always thought that was kind of the POINT of open source.

@mint I got into open source because I liked being empowered as a user to contribute to features I wanted to see....
@mint ive watched a lot of people that dont yet have the means to contribute code, contribute detailed feature requests and theyve mostly all been built in.
Let me also say I see the issues with public timelines, like quite a bit.
and ESPECIALLY when it's a social network the question to ask oneself about every feature, interaction, response to criticism, foundational assumption, and implementation is this:
