discussion of drag and transphobia
the impression i have from my limited reading is that the problems are largely a) how the general public has failed to distinguish between drag performers and trans people, and has therefore used drag as a way to attack trans people, and b) transphobic remarks and lack of trans support by prominent drag performers... rather than c) the practice of drag itself, which has some history and value and can/should be separated from trans identity? but...
