बेचैनियां कुछ कहती हैं तुमसे
कभी नब्ज़ पकड़ के जाँची है इनकी
देखा है कि कितनी तेज़ चल रही हैं
एक फैसले से पहले जो सोने नही देती तुम्हे
किसी इम्तेहां का कितना डर होता है
कभी जो एक बात रह जाती है अनकही
तो कितना परेशान कर देती हैं तुम्हें
जो एक बदलाव के इशारे से तंग कर देती है
खुशी में भी एक संकोच ला दे
उस बेचैनी को कभी परखा है तुमने?
ना जाने किस ओर ले जाना चाहती हैं तुम्हे
शायद कुछ बता रही हैं तुमको
कहीं हाँथ तुम्हारा थाम के ले जा रही हैं तुमको।

चिल्लाती हैं कि कुछ अधूरा है अब तक
सुनती हो उनकी आवाज़ उनकी परेशानी
या फिर अनसुना कर उनको फिर छोड़ आती हो
तुम दुनियादारी में फ़िर खुद को भूल जाती हो?

@Almas the purpose of writing this is to tell you that we are restless for a reason and we should sit with it instead of escaping. I hope it gives you the will and courage to face it :)

@musafir I loved it. Took me a long while to read given how challenged I am in reading Hindi. I am glad I made the effort given how lovely the words were.
@Samyukth that coming from you makes my day! Escape is the most frequent route we take from restlessness, but we always fail to understand what they want to tell us. That's how the poem was inspired.
@musafir A pretence of strength is one that all of us have been conditioned to portray. So much so that any display of human frailty is usually frowned upon and seen as a sign of weakness. Restlessness,IMHO, is the spark that ignites introspection and questioning and is fundamental to a strong sense of personal balance.
