I guess why I think about these things is that as a good anarcho-techno-syndicalist (but only on Tuesdays), I often see what happens is that people are very enthusiastic about running their own Linux meshnetworks for freedom, but after a while you kind of want Mark Shuttleworth to do it for you, then Google, then Comcast then, oh shit I'm reading my Facebook at the combination PIzza Hut Taco Bell

I wonder to what extent this is due to an average age difference? Does Mastodon skew younger? Is this just what the world has more or less been like for the adult lives of many of the users here, just turned up a little?

For me the hardest part of making a Mastodon bot was figuring out the OAuth dance to get my access token.
Twitter offers a UI that does this for you, so I made one for Mastodon! It works on any instance, but it does require you to run a `curl` command (that it generates for you) at the very end. Hope you find it useful!
