This also makes the project's insistence on running a one-sentence-snippet RSS "news" feed that's useless in and of itself, trying to force readers to visit the full site to get actual content. Which is a deplorable practice even when it's not a trick to get users onto a tracking platform.

@n8 There are legitimate usages of this, WordPress for instance (which seems to power their blog) uses it to detect if your operating system supports emojis (and uses a different font in that case).
