What do you do to get inspired? ✨ What makes you want to create art? Got any helpful words to those currently in an art block?
I think it would be interesting to see how and what makes you guys want to make the great art you make, let me know!
I dreamed that I jumped off a telephone pole and hang-glided over a frozen lake to Alaska. When I got there Tom Haverford met a sad bear (gay) at a grocery store, they hit it off and started dating.
I put these calls out every so often so here goes:
If you're working on an inclusive game (something with POC/LGBTQ/female characters/relevant themes) please reach out to me, I would love to hear about it!
I can't guarantee coverage and I'm generally very busy but I'm always down to hear about new, inclusive things :)
#Welcome new users I'm so glad you're here that's great! If you joined mastodon.social like, that's fine and stuff BUT you should know that that's just ONE server running Mastodon. You could also join one of thousands of other options. A server with lots of people with shared interests creates a stronger sense of community and public timelines that self-curates to stuff people you like also like; on your server or others
A list of servers can be found at instances.social
Also I'm Naomi and I just started a comic called "Moonsprout Station." You can read it here! http://www.naomiyaki.com and ask the characters questions in the comments (or on socials) while I prepare the next pages.
I do remember my first website though. I made a family page on AOL with some cousins that said little more than hello.
After that, I wrote my first HTML:
It was 2-4 pages of Pokémon images stolen from Nintendo's Japanese site. I was 12.
finally, a website where I am free to express my truest, most authentic self

Firs steps are so often paralyzing. I worry if I make a mistake or misrepresent myself it somehow portends a rocky future. Not like I remember my first Tweet, first drawing, first birthday.
With some things it's gotten easier, but writing (esp. about myself) is scary all around the edges. But I want to do that and I know what that means: Mistakes, embarrassment, pushing. Until things are... still scary, but with a path (hopefully with spooky trees).
