Me: (right-clicks folder) Windows, create new folder

Windows: Sure thi - (dies in a fire)

Announcer: This isn't normal. But on Windows Ten, it is.

Windows. Not even Once.

Certainly not Ten Times.

Nate Cull @natecull

By my count Windows Ten is about the 22nd version of Windows but that's probably missing a few

· Web · 1 · 3

@natecull don't forget the several different of versions of Windows 10, all called Windows 10

1, 2, 3.0, 3.1, 3.11, 3.11 for Workgroups, 3.5, 4, 95, 95OSR2, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, 2008, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 2012, 2012R2, 2016

numbers, how do they work

oh yeah let's not forget Windows for Pen Computing, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Windows Embedded, Windows Phone..

@natecull you also skipped XP 64, 2003, Vista, and Windows Core for IoT. and the N and KN SKUs of all of them after the antitrust suit.

@natecull throwing windows server in there is cheating

@natecull 2.1 which came in /286 and /386 flavours. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_ Say “above the line” and “below the line” to programmers of that era and watch them break out in a cold sweat.

Apparently there was also a 2.11 version but I don't remember that. And, why's 11 the next number after 1?

@natecull You missed Vista after XP. My favorite thing is they went from 8 to 10 because they string-match "95" or "98". So Windows 19 will be followed by 21, too.
