@natecull This would fit with the notion that any country that needs to put "Democratic Republic" in its title may not be quite as stably and effectively democratic as the name would seek to suggest.
Hot take: To achieve the Star Trek future, get yourself into (counts on fingers) at least five major wars, including some genetic supermen and an atomic WW3. Then hope super-smart aliens either bail you out, turn you into lizards, or eat your salt.
