Oh nice, this Windows 2016 server I'm setting up as an antivirus server comes preinstalled with Microsoft services for Downloaded Maps, Geolocation, and Xbox Live Game Save

That seems very secure and enterprisey.

Microsoft, do you know what a server is?

@natecull I am perpetually mystified why even a Windows "Pro" license needs to preinstall Candy Crush Soda Saga. Are you sure Microsoft didn't preload that on your Windows Server too? ;)

I haven't tried Server 2016 yet. I do have a couple licenses for it, but we're still deploying 2012 R2 with them.

@natecull This is the same with "Pro" versions of Windows 10... Hopefully I manage to always install the "N" one, without any multimedia plugins, otherwise Cortana would be activated by default.
Cortana listenning and recording all the meetings over thousands and thousands of companies... It's frightening.

@natecull how do people still use this crap holy shit

@natecull Microsoft's opinion is that you shouldn't be installing Server 2016 with a GUI, you should be using the Server Core option and managing remotely using the Win10 Remote Server Administration Tools/PowerShell.

Though last time I checked, some things (like Windows Deployment Services) still don't work on Server Core!

@natecull "Why yes, it's an avenue for us to force our revolutionary new technology down the throats of inexperienced SysAdmins"

@natecull Oh, you didn't add the Desktop Experience feature yet?

@galaxis Not sure if joking but... There is neither a Role nor a Feature called Desktop Experience, no.

Would be really neat though if there was one to just remove!

@natecull Oh, just seen it's not an installable feature with Server 2016 anymore: ``The Server installation option is now “Server with Desktop Experience” and has the shell and Desktop Experience installed by default.´´ (Other installation option seems Server Core.)
