So anyway: a çaydanlık is basically the same as a samovar, right? So you're drinking the zavarka?!

One other thing: if you like Yunnan black tea (diān hóng = 滇红 in Chinese), you might want to check out yunnansourcing.com, which has a vast array of those teas. Disclaimer: my only relationship with them is as a customer.

@babelcarp @wxl I only know it because my wife is Chinese from Yunnan and she brought back this amazing black tea: almost sweet, not bitter at all. Also some tie guanyin (sweet, almost champagne-like) and Pu'er (mushroomy, smoky)
